Frequently Asked Questions...

How do I book a semi-private session?

The easiest way to book is by navigating to our Schedule page and clicking "Book" next to the class you want to register for. You will be asked to create a Mindbody account.

You can also book on Mindbody's website or mobile app by searching for 212 Pilates.

How do I book a private session?

For private sessions, please email us at hello@212pilates.com with your ideal availability, personal goals for your pilates practice, and any pertinent health information. This will help us partner you with the best instructor for your needs.

Is there a membership fee?

No! You simply pay for the sessions you attend. We offer discounts via packages. Prices can be seen on our Pilates pages.

What is your cancellation policy?

All cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the session will result in a full charge.

What amenities does your studio offer?

Our studio has lockers for personal items, private bathrooms, and changing stalls. We also have a kitchenette with filtered water. We do not have showers at this time.

What should I wear? What should I bring?

Please wear clothing you are comfortable moving and sweating in. We have changing stalls at our studio if you would like to change before and/or after you session. Our studio is a "no shoes" space. You can practice barefoot or with socks.

You are welcome to bring a water bottle. We also have filtered water and cups on premise.

I've never done Pilates. Which class should I take?

Our instructors are trained to teach the body in front of them, regardless of experience level. You can take any class! If you are a true beginner, we recommend arriving to class a few minutes early to inform your instructor. They will be able to make you comfortable throughout the session.

I am recovering from an injury, surgery, etc... Can I still do Pilates?

At 212 Pilates, we pride ourselves in making pilates practice accessible. If you can walk into our studio, you can take our sessions. Our founder, Tara Gordon, created a method that is the most inclusive for all bodies and their histories/injuries by focusing on a neutral spine position. The 212 method avoids all Spinal Flexion (bending forwards, as if to touch your toes). If you are comfortable, you can disclose any physical history to your instructor before the session, and they can modify the movement even further to accommodate your needs.

Looking for focused and intentional practice to help strengthen after a surgery or injury? Consider a private pilates session with our certified instructors! We will match you with an instructor who can help you with rehabilitation for your specific circumstances!
